Techniques for the Weaponsmithing discipline.
All techniques directly linked to a technique are required to learn that technique. Note: Complex Martial Weapon Design is not currently required for Advanced Swappable Weapon Design.
Bladed Weapon
Technique Description Basic Bladed Weapon Design The Basic Bladed Weapon Design technique teaches everything you'll need to know to make reliable blades of the basic templates. Proficient Bladed Weapon Design Additional concepts in forging bladed weapons are taught with Proficient Bladed Weapon Design, and these give an advantage when forging more complicated blade templates. Advanced Bladed Weapon Design The more intricate and advanced blade patterns will prove easier to forge with knowledge of the Advanced Bladed Weapon Design technique. Expert Bladed Weapon Design With knowledge of the Expert Bladed Weapon Design technique, even the most rare and complicated blades will prove easier to forge.
Blunt Weapon
Technique Description Basic Blunt Weapon Design Skill with Basic Blunt Weapon Design ensures you will be able to forge sturdy blunt weapons using basic templates. Proficient Blunt Weapon Design Training in Proficient Blunt Weapon Design will improve capability with forging more advanced blunt weapon templates. Advanced Blunt Weapon Design Practicing Advanced Blunt Weapon Design techniques give additional capability when forging many of the harder blunt weapon templates. Expert Blunt Weapon Design Mastering the secrets of Expert Blunt Wapon Design completes the set, granting bonuses to forging all forms of blunt weapons.
Polearm Weapon
Technique Description Basic Polearm Weapon Design Starting polearm forgers wanting skill with forging basic weapons begin with this technique of Basic Polearm Weapon Design. Advanced Polearm Weapon Design The more advanced polearm templates are learned about with Advanced Polearm Weapon Design. Expert Polearm Weapon Design Rare and intricate polearm designs will become much easier with knowledge of the Expert Polearm Weapon Design technique.
Martial Weapon
Technique Description Simple Martial Weapon Design Simple Martial Weapon Design grants proficiency with forging these fundamental, yet deadly, weapons. Complex Martial Weapon Design Adding intricate parts and requiring more skill to forge properly, the Complex Martial Weapon Design teachings allow easier forging of even the most esoteric designs.
Swappable Weapon
Technique Description Advanced Swappable Weapon Design Versatile and taking up less space, swappable weapons are often sought after. Advanced Swappable Weapon Design makes many of these much easier to forge. Expert Swappable Weapon Design Even the most exotic swappable weapons become easier to forge once one knows the Expert Swappable Weapon Design technique.
Weapon Repair
Technique Description Basic Weapon Repair It is nearly impossible to repair weapons with any consistency unless you have knowledge of Basic Weapon Repair. Advanced Weapon Repair Repair rates increase and the amount of damage restored goes up once taught the secrets of Advanced Weapon Repair. Proper Weapon Care Even after several anlaen of use, weapons will show no signs of wear if properly repaired and maintained with the Proper Weapon Care technique's teachings.
Weaponcraft
Technique Description Weaponcraft Metallurgy High quality ore is often in short supply. Knowledge of Weaponcraft Metallurgy ensures that even ore of average purity won't penalize your forging efforts.
(Gives a phantom bonus to material purity if it's below the 99 cap.)Weaponcraft Theory The best crafters know that masterwork items require high quality tools. However, the insight granted from Weaponcraft Theory show one how to make the most out of what tools are available.
(Gives a bonus if using less than perfect tools or techniques.)Weaponcraft Acumen Only the most dedicated forgers learn about Weaponcraft Acumen. Those who avoid it miss out on tricks capable of vastly speeding up the forging process and reduce tool wear.
(Decreases forging RTs by a decent amount (>20%).)
Tempering
Technique Description Metal Weapon Tempering Tempering weapons is a difficult and time-consuming process, though knowledge of the Metal Weapon Tempering technique makes it considerably easier. This technique is required to temper a weapon. Rare-Metal Weapon Tempering The presence of rare metals increases the tempering difficulty substantially. However, the insight granted by Rare-Metal Weapon Tempering simplifies many of these issues. This technique is required to temper a rare-metal weapon.
Honing
Technique Description Weapon Honing The weapon honing technique makes shaving off bits of weapons to make them lighter, while not affecting the quality of the blade's edge, much more doable.
(Reduces weight without reducing the puncture and slice of an item.) This technique is required to hone a weapon.Weapon Balancing Mastery with the grinding wheel is granted with the Weapon Balancing Technique. All forms of weapon balancing become easier to perform. This technique is required to balance a weapon.
