Look:	Groups of miniature ornamental broomsticks rest in tarnished copper at either end of the flat grey hearth. Petite almond-shaped emeralds glimmer in the faces of the cast-iron cat-shaped andirons. Thin, jagged-edge slate stones are stacked to form a makeshift, raised hearth.
