General Information
The leather armor skill is the popular choice of armor for Rangers, Thieves and Barbarians due to the generally low hinderance and tiny penalty to stealth. A full set of leather armor which covers your body can range anywhere from very light with little hinderance to insanely heavy (600+ stones) and very hindering.
Prior to tanned leather armor popular leather armor included Aged Combat Leathers and Ironbark Leathers which were known to be very heavy while providing fairly good protection at the time. Since the advent of tanned leather armor both the Aged Combats and Ironbark Leathers have all but become obsolete.
Due to rather poor absorption ratings compared to forged chain and plate, leather is not often used among other guilds.
