Rhodric studied himself in the mirror, grinning at his beautiful reflection. A face this good wouldn’t last forever; but damnit, why couldn’t it? Running a hand along his well-shaped jawline, Rhodric took one last look then turned away from the mirror, frowning. Seriously, why couldn’t it? He was no fool, and he’d heard of the Philosophers and their extreme fantasies. Snapping his fingers, Rhodric harnessed a few strands of elemental mana and shaped them into something coherent – a small flame danced in the palm of his hand as if alive. He’d given up another path before, all in the name of power and glory. Fingering the small Grazhir pendant at his throat, Rhodric murmured to himself, “And nothing’s stopping me from doing it again.” Spinning on his booted heels and grinning wickedly as he left his quarters, Rhodric’s head spun with the thought of power that would last forever. |
