According to Jack, T'ansell died a day after the final battle in the fields of the Dragonspine while withdrawing north. His remains were interred at Ankis Dir, in Leth Deriel, supposedly by his son.

Although T'ansell was a general, he insisted upon being called "Captain." In the words of [[Jack Tansell]]:
