[Almalne Alolan, Among the Blooms]
The farmland here has been allowed to become a field of wildflowers. Blue forget-me-nots, brilliant orange poppies, white larkspurs, and miniature sunflowers blend together in a riot of hues amidst the backdrop of dark green grasses. Flitting from flower to flower, rotund bumblebees create a humming buzz. Placed at the edge of the myriad of blooms is a finely wrought iron gate. You also see a weathered sign and an expansive purpleheart retreat with a copper-roofed cupola atop the ridgepole.
Obvious paths: none.

>look sign
Whatever wood the sign was cut from has faded to a dull grey. The sides curl inwards slightly as time has taken its toll.
Peering closely, you can't help but notice the markings of the Huns family.
>move retreat
You unlock the door to an expansive purpleheart retreat.
You open the door to an expansive purpleheart retreat.
You walk through the door of the retreat.

[Huns House, Parlor]
Walls of smooth silverwood and a wide-planked zingana floor covered by a deep-fringed white wool carpet enclose this room. In one corner lies a simple pure white brocade sofa with soft throw pillows, and near the sofa sits a carved sandalwood end-table on which rests a pot of sunflowers. A wide white plastered fireplace with a narrow mantel burns along the far wall with a large oil painting depicting a serene pastoral landscape hanging above it. The room holds a lingering scent of sandalwood. You also see a fretwork sandalwood armchair that is facing the sofa, a white and orange kitten and a large garden window with sparkling glass panes.
Obvious paths: none.

>look kitten
Large blue eyes gaze back at you from the kitten's wedge-shaped face. Slightly built, his body has a fragile appearance relative to its head, an impression swiftly dispelled when he begins to tumble awkwardly around the room. His short orange and white coat, plush and thick, makes his bright blue eyes appear even brighter.
He is standing.
>rub kitten
As you lightly rub the orange kitten from ears to tail, he arches his back against your hand.
>look painting
Painted in lush hues dappled with golden highlights, a narrow stream winds its way through rolling fields dotted with soft white sheep. A large willow tree overhangs the nearest bend in the serpentine waterway, its drooping boughs covered in shimmering leaves. Each branch's tip just touches the placid waters below, causing a number of silvery ripples to spread out in ever widening circles. Feathery grasses and tall cattails sprout up along the water's edge, cast partly into shadow by the majestic tree.

[Huns House, Refectory]
A wide-planked zingana floor spreads across this room into surrounding walls of smooth silverwood. A fieldstone fireplace with an oak mantel, with an autumnal-hued wall mosaic framed in lustrous goldenoak hanging above it, stands guard over the polished oak bench and oak refectory table that rest upon a handwoven green and gold rug covering the floor. A faint scent of baking bread fills the air. You also see a white and orange kitten, a large garden window with sparkling glass panes, a bleached oak grandfather orlog, an embroidered golden silk chair that is facing the table and an embroidered golden silk chair that is facing the table.
Obvious paths: none.

>look mosaic
Smooth pieces of semi-precious stone depict a large weeping willow tree in warm shades of red, brown and green. The gorgeous shards of multi-hued chalcedony fit together like irregular puzzle pieces, all held in place by narrow streams of burnished gold. The roots of the stately tree reach down past the darkly colored earth until they touch the bright goldenoak frame.
>look fireplace
Rough stones supply the front facing of the fireplace, each one irregularly shaped and of different colors. A sturdy plank set across two triangular supports forms a practical shelf above the firebox.
>look on table
On the refectory table you see some rose-patterned porcelain plates and a gathering of white water lilies floating within a shallow goldenoak bowl.
>look bench
The long rectangular cushion is finely woven and dyed a deep green that complements the pale golden color of the wood.
>look rug
Wide bands of polished gold wind around the large decorative tassels that line the fringe of the handwoven green rug.
>look orlog
The pale oak of the cabinet suggests rather than imitates stone, especially in the fluted columns at each corner and the carving around the orlog face: the top section is reminiscent of the facade of the old temple in Crossing.
The orlog's case is open.

[Huns House, Prayer Room]
A hand-painted silk prayer mat adorns the zingana floor of this room. An exquisite obsidian brazier, with a richly illuminated parchment hanging above it, rests between a black obsidian altar and a simple side table pushed up against the smooth silverwood walls. The room holds a strong scent of incense. You also see a white and orange kitten and a silverwood door elaborately carved with blooming vines.
Obvious paths: none.

>look on alt
On the obsidian altar you see a silver candlestick and an oaken icon of the goddess Berengaria.
>look icon
A short, plump woman holds a sheaf of grain with one hand, while her other scratches a cow's ear. Her smile is kindly, but her gaze is direct and thoughtful.
>look on table
On the side table you see a filigree silver censer and a white leather prayer book.
>look parchment
The illuminated parchment has two prayers lettered in a flowing script -- a prayer for morning, and one for night. The letter B of Berengaria is large and filled with sheaves of wheat and tiny cows in a meadow within the design, and a gold-leaf sun rising above it. The letter P is filled in with a rich deep blue color, with silvery stars sprinkled throughout and dotted across the text of the prayer. A multicolored border of vines, flowers and stars trails down the right side and bottom of the parchment.
>read parchment morning prayer
You silently read your parchment.

  ~Prayer for Berengaria~

  Thy child seeks the light,
  Bring us dawn this day:
  Walk before me, sow anew
My feet follow seeking their way.

  Renew light and life,
  Thou are Mother to me,
  Mother who banishes night
And holds my soul safe for me.
>read parchment night prayer
You silently read your parchment.

  *The Prayer Before Sleep*

Phelim, hold me in thy fold
  Thy stars blanket me soft
  Thy fingers stroke my brow
  Thy dreams bear me aloft.

  A sweet bird calls clear
As I close my eyes tight
  A promise of safe sleep
Under sweet holy Tears, come kiss me goodnight.

[Huns House, Dancer's Conservatory]
Towering mirror walls stare silently at a bare zingana floor. The room holds a lingering scent of lemon oil. You also see a white and orange kitten, a large garden window with sparkling glass panes, a towering mirrored wall transversed by a sleek ironwood bar, a heavy mistwood cabinet resting atop a matching platform and a carved dark ironwood chair that is facing away from the wall.

>look wall
Perfectly smooth panes of glass cover the tall wall from floor to ceiling, giving the room a deceptively large appearance and allowing full reflection of the space. A horizontal handrail of polished ironwood is supported by a series of bronze brackets, stretching across the glossy surface to provide ample support for a dancer's training.

[Huns House, Lady's Morning Room]
A gold-edged blue floral carpet adorns the zingana floor of this room. A carved marble fireplace with a wrought iron grate, with a fine silk tapestry detailing a tranquil garden scene hanging above it, rests between an elegant ivory velvet settee and a silver-toned ban-minahle writing table with gracefully curved legs pushed up against the smooth silverwood walls. The room holds a very faint scent of perfume. You also see a white and orange kitten, a large garden window with sparkling glass panes, a silverwood door elaborately carved with blooming vines, an Ilithian black bogbirch wardrobe carved with lotus blossoms and an ironwork velvet-covered chair that is facing the table.
Obvious paths: none.

>look settee
With a high back and plush arms, this settee invites all to have a seat and rest against its soft fabric. Golden piping trims the arm in a spiral design that flows across the base in a straight line.
>look table
Curving out at the knee, each leg curls back in at the ankle and terminates in an ornamental clawed foot.
>look on table
On the writing table you see a fluted nib pen twisted into a treble clef and a staff-lined music manuscript book.
>look tapestry
Tall alabaster columns twined with flowering rose vines frame the image, creating a portal through which can be glimpsed a lush garden in full bloom. Roses bloom in a rainbow of color from every bush, vine and stately hedgerow. Narrow stone paths wind through the vivid scene, with bright green moss growing up between the faded and timeworn slabs.

[Huns House, Briaen's Study]
Walls of smooth silverwood and a wide-planked zingana floor covered by a black bearskin rug enclose this room. In one corner lies a deep brown leather reading settee with brass feet, and near the settee sits an austere gentleman's desk with brass drawer pulls on which rests a dark leather prayer book. *A Praise of Gods*
  by Granar Veracine

Hodierna thy light shines brightly for me
Tamsine thy hearth warms my soul
Eluned your strength is with me
Kertigen thee provides for our needs
Praise to the gods of Elanthia!

Meraud fill my book of prayers with glory!
An army of Clerics marches forth by Everild
Glythtide prepare the wine for offering
Faenella sing songs of warrior deeds
Glory and Praise to the gods!

Children laugh at the feet of Damaris
  Mercy and forgiveness is Truffenyi
The earth and beauty is of Hav'roth
  And Chadatru speaks the truth
  Praise unto the gods!
           Amen
>look in bookcase
In the ebonwood bookcase you see a thick black grimoire, a cigar case, a spiritwood-bound journal of pure white, an ornately engraved platinum folio, a prayer tome of tarnished silver, a collection of worn volumes bound in battered black leather, a white-streaked soulstone surrounded by a cage of niello chains, a small wood-framed notebook entitled "THEORIES", an unusually darkened stone bearing crude carvings, an oversized book titled HOW TO KILL UNDEAD in big block letters, a worn cambrinth-bound volume of "The Immortals", and a sturdy tome with the title "Provincial Laws and Justice" in block print.
