Description: | Ring of Spears is primarily a defensive spell, but with enough magical acumen and careful timing it can also be cast to devastating effect. When you so evoke the power of Earth, a ring of sharp spikes, resembling spears wrought of rock, rises from the ground around you, fending off surrounding foes and injuring those not lithe enough to escape. A skillful mage can also employ this spell to aid his or her allies. | |
Effect: | Unknown | |
Example Messaging: | A grey-green starburst spreads across the entire area, its pointed spokes pausing to probe various points along the ground. The earth rumbles and groans as sharpened rock spears spring violently from beneath its surface around you!
You sense that calling spears from the earth again will only add to the lingering interference that is building up, and may have unfortunate results. Notes
- The spell is still somewhat buggy. A failed casting generally keeps the spell still prepared if no RT is given. Casting on others works, unless they're enagaged in combat then it fail casts.
- Can be formed around others and creatures, though not as easily or effective.
- Multiple casts, can cause lingering interference that may cause the spears to attack the target instead of protecting it if cast too often. Leaving the room does not remove the effect, only with time or when it goes wrong does the interference leave.
