Description: The Obfuscation spell projects a psychic field that blunts the mind with a sense of placid normalcy in all those touched by it. This draws less critical attention to the magician, assisting him in any attempt to stay unperceived.

It was difficult for the other Guilds to get a clear grasp on the Obfuscation spell, but then again, that was always the point. After all, what self-respecting Philosopher would allow him or herself to be found out by the unscientific philistines?

Finally, lost or possibly leaked notes were discovered that hinted at the reason why Necromancers were so bloody difficult to find.
The Corruption mutation of Obfuscation, like most Corruption magics, is very subtle. It normalizes the caster so that they appear more like the 'everyman'. People simply just don't want to spend time looking at them, their eyes are encouraged to simply slide by the boring specimen of mundanity. While this won't stop a Necromancer who's drawing attention to themselves from being noticed, it apparently does quite a bit to let them practice their arts in obscurity.

Notes

  • Equal Hiding and Stalking buffs.
  • Has advantages as a Necromancer's first spell.
