Sekmeht -
Before the Rage:
As a young Gor'tog, Sekmeht grew up in a small hunting village on the outskirts near Knife Clan. His father was a veteran warrior. His mother was a local doctor. Together his father's knowledge of combat and his mothers empathetic abilities and knowledge of anatomy were the biggest influences in his life.
Since a child, Sekmeht's father had taught him how to control his anger and focus on the tasks at hand. Whether it be cleaning up around the yard, avoiding danger, hunting, or defending himself patience and focus was always important. His mother played a big role by teaching him compassion for others, life and what it means to be selfless. One day during a training session with his father, Sekmeht landed a lucky hit on his father knocking him to the floor. His father laughed and said "My Son that was wonderful..." as he spit the blood flowing from his cracked lip... "You make a father proud..." with a proud smirk running across his face.
His father gathers himself and places his hand of Sekmeht's shoulder and says, "Remember this son. Rage can corrupt the soul of a man and make him weak. Focus, Relax and you will be unstoppable...".
Sekmeht glances up at his father grinning from ear to ear as he rises his bloody fist into the air rotating it slightly as the hues of reds glisten in the sunlight. Time passes and over time Sekmeht's father ages and becomes mortally Ill. Now in his 20's Sekmeht has learned much of what his father has passed down to him in knowledge and combat technique. Sekmeht, I am sick, it's up to you to become head of this household." he says with quivering lips, "Go forth and fight for the good of your name.". Time passes, as so does his father.
One day while passing by from an extended hunting trip Sekmeht decides to check on his mother. "Son, your father wanted me to give you something, and I feel like the time is right.". She asks Sekmeht to go outside and stand by his father's grave which he waits for her. Puzzled at what she is about to unveil he paces in anticipation. A few moments pass, then his mother exits the house and approaches Sekmeht with an object wrapped up in a Snowbeast's pelt. "This is for you son..." she says softly.
She pulls back the flap of the pelt exposing the pommel of his Father's beloved Bastard Sword. It's dark silvery Kertig edge gleams brilliantly against the sunlight. Sekmeht smiles softly at his mother, kisses her on the cheek and says "Thank you Mother." He draws the Bastard Sword and examines it slowly before noticing the engraving "Rage can corrupt the soul of a man and make him weak. Focus, Relax and you will be unstoppable my son..." he reads each letter one by one.
With a smirk, Sekmeht recalls the many times his father had mentioned this. He slowly sheaths his sword before turning to his Mother. "Thank you Mother, I will not forget this." he says.
She places her hand on his shoulder and says "Now go make a Mother proud.", she turns and begins walking back towards the house and enters closing the door behind her.
