Rumored to be found only in mines near Boar Clan, the gem displays petal-like inclusions that when properly cut and polished look like orchids trapped within. It comes in varied hues of purple, red, pink, blue, and white.
First discovered when searching the Pejek region of Therengia, this gem is found encapsulated within petrified peat nestled far below the surface. The ground's high water content combined with rare minerals in the bedrock cause accumulations of silica and other elements during the crystallization process. Named for the dragon's mouth orchid that grows primarily in bogs, the alexandrite has been magically enhanced to suppress its greener shades in favor of colors reminiscent of the flower's velvety petals. Depending on the lighting, the jewel exhibits silvery indigo, vivid pink, or twilight purple hues.

Example: a faceted red orchid diamond <br />
LOOK: A vivid crimson hue arches along the petal-like inclusion of the gem, giving the impression of a flower blooming within.
