Rumweave is a durable silk that has been soaked/brined/immersed in rum for a period of at least six months in order to dry and tighten the gaps in the weave. Dyes may be added to the brining process to allow colors, but rumweave works best in brown, golden, and tan hues. Any color not one of those three hues is matte. (eg. golden rumweave vs. matte black rumweave)
