Syntax

STUDY <item>

When used on items that are scholarly in nature (compendiums, artwork, spell scrolls, etc.), teaches scholarship and other skills.

When used on other items, it may reveal special ways that verbs (rub, tap, turn, etc.) can work with an item.

Default Study Item Message: You carefully examine a [ITEM], but see nothing special.

When used on a horse, reveals information about the condition of the horse.

STUDY (self)

You take on a studious look.

STUDY <NPC>

When used on some NPCs, it will reveal additional information you can ask.
