The DODGE verb was supposed to give you the best possible chance to dodge of all attack verbs. Which, given the name, is logical. Unfortunately, instead of giving you the best chance, it was penalizing your evasion. BLUFF DODGE has all the benefits (or until tonight, drawbacks) of Dodge, plus it has a built-in contest that can potentially reduce the offensive abilities of all affected targets for a brief period of time. It's not a huge penalty, nor does it last long very long, but coupled with the best possible evasion scenario, it can certainly make a difference in a tight battle. Like all the combat bard abilities, it does have an associated mojo cost. - GM Dartenian | |
