Recall
The sackbut is a wind instrument characterized by a telescopic slide with which the player varies the length of the tube to change pitches, allowing chromaticism as well as easy and accurate doubling of voices as well as a bell from which the sound emanates. The sackbut is always made of metal, but can be embellished with gems and other ornate work.
