The floor, walls, and ceiling of this small room are completely sheathed in tight grained mahogany. Four reed mats form a square in the center of the floor, and a number of rolled mats are piled in a corner. One light source, a large but simple oil lamp, hangs from iron chains secured in the ceiling. A rectangular opening leads down a short flight of steps to the North.
