I've cross refenced with every source I can. The Paasvadh forest is specifically mentioned as SW of the Arncharn Shel, with the Liirswag River to the west. The Danduwen Forest is north of Gwenalion River, so there must be some forest lying south of the river, and its a good chunk of land.
Also, from Dwarven Expressions, there is reference to the "great woods" where the battle of Tov'Meod occurred. It wouldn't make sense for the Elves to have marched over the Arncharn Shel to attack Kwarlog as a diversion, particularly since I believe Kwarlog lies on the NE side of the Arncharn (or has gates on both sides, a la Moria). (Since the main Dwarf-Human-Gor'Tog army was running around somewhere)
