They ruled unchallenged over Shamilho Island through recorded history until the first expansion of power by the Rathan Kings resulted in the War of the Waves. Sraan Nehgris was defeated, but refused to accept surrender or exile to the mainland and were utterly destroyed, fighting the battle to the last man.
