Curtsy
Performs a curtsy as a role-playing action, optionally directed at a person or creature and modified with one of seven styles.
CURTSY You see: You curtsy. Others see: <Name> curtsies. CURTSY AWKWARD You see: You give an awkward curtsy, nearly falling! Others see: <Name> gives an awkward curtsy, nearly falling over! CURTSY BOB You see: You bob a quick curtsy. Others see: <Name> bobs down and back up in a quick curtsy. CURTSY DEEP You see: You sink into a deep curtsy. Others see: <Name> sinks into a deep curtsy. CURTSY FLIRT You see: Lashes lowered in a pretense of modesty, you give a flirtatious smile as you sink into a graceful curtsy. Others see: Lashes lowered modestly, <Name> gives a flirtatious smile as <he/she> sinks into a graceful curtsy. CURTSY FORMAL You see: Hands moving gracefully, you sink down in a formal curtsy. Others see: With a graceful flutter of <his/her> hands, <Name> sinks down in a formal curtsy. CURTSY GRACEFUL You see: You curtsy gracefully. Others see: <Name> curtsies gracefully. CURTSY SLIGHT You see: You give a slight curtsy, barely worth the name. Others see: <Name> gives a slight curtsy, barely worth the effort. CURTSY <person> You see: You curtsy to <person>. Target sees: <Name> curtsies to you. Others see: <Name> curtsies to <person>. CURTSY <person> AWKWARD You see: You curtsy awkwardly to <person>, your ankles wobbling as you try not to fall. Target sees: <Name> curtsies awkwardly to you, nearly falling. Others see: <Name> curtsies awkwardly to <person>, trying to keep <his/her> balance. CURTSY <person> BOB You see: You bob a quick curtsy to <person>. Target sees: <Name> bobs a quick curtsy to you. Others see: <Name> bobs a quick curtsy to <person>. CURTSY <person> DEEP You see: You sink down in a deep curtsy before <person>, your lashes lowered. Target sees: <Name> sinks down in a deep curtsy to you, <his/her> lashes lowered. Others see: Lashes lowered, <Name> sinks down in a deep curtsy before <person>. CURTSY <person> FLIRT You see: Your lashes lowered in a pretense of modesty, you give <person> a flirtatious smile before sinking into a graceful curtsy. Target sees: Lashes lowered modestly, <Name> gives you a flirtatious smile before sinking into a graceful curtsy. Others see: Lashes lowered modestly, <Name> smiles flirtatiously at <person> before sinking into a graceful curtsy. CURTSY <person> FORMAL You see: Hands moving gracefully, you lower your head and sink into a formal curtsy before <person>. Target sees: With a graceful movement of <his/her> hands, <Name> lowers <his/her> head and sinks into a formal curtsy to you. Others see: With a graceful movement of <his/her> hands, <Name> lowers <his/her> head and sinks into a formal curtsy before <person>. CURTSY <person> GRACEFUL You see: You curtsy gracefully to <person>. Target sees: <Name> curtsies gracefully to you. Others see: <Name> curtsies gracefully to <person>. CURTSY <person> SLIGHT You see: You give <person> a slight curtsy, barely more than a quick bob. Target sees: <Name> gives you a slight curtsy, barely more than a quick bob. Others see: <Name> gives <person> a slight curtsy, barely more than a quick bob. CURTSY <creature> You see: You curtsy to <creature>. Others see: <Name> curtsies to <creature>.

Syntax

• CURTSY

Perform a basic curtsy.

• CURTSY <STYLE>

Perform a curtsy using one of the styles listed below.

• CURTSY <PERSON>

Curtsy to another person.

• CURTSY <PERSON> <STYLE>

Direct a styled curtsy at another person. The target must precede the style.

• CURTSY <CREATURE/ITEM>

The helpfile lists creatures and items as targets. Creatures have a directed curtsy; an unrecognized target can produce the basic untargeted curtsy.

The available styles are awkward, bob, deep, flirt, formal, graceful and slight.

Displays usage and valid styles.

Usage: CURTSY <emote>
       CURTSY player <emote>
       CURTSY creature/item
Valid emotes are: graceful, awkward, bob, deep, slight, formal, flirt

Notes

• You must be standing and visible to curtsy.
• Attempting to curtsy to yourself produces the response, Curtsy to yourself? Perhaps not.
• When two married characters curtsy to one another without a style, the curtsy is described as demure and the target sees a mischievous sparkle in the actor's eyes.
