Adding an extra level of swank to dazzling fabric, the left brim is folded up to reveal the silvery grey of the steelsilk lining and corresponding hatband. The illusion of blue lightning crackling across the surface of the velvet is complemented by tiny glimmering silversteel lighting bolts that fan out from the front and around the left side culminating in a large bolt emerging from under the folded brim where a plume is traditionally found.

Designed to fall to the ankles, the dazzling fabric flatters the wearer's form while still allowing ease of movement. Glimpses of the silvery grey steelsilk liner can be seen at the hood's interior. The illusion of blue lightning crackling across the surface of the velvet is complemented by the glimmering buckles. Trimmed in steelsilk, a hood is attached to the back of the collar, allowing the wearer to conceal their features if desired.
