This is a very strong silk that is often used for reinforcing seams or strengthening containers. In its undyed form it is a silvery grey color, which it tends to retain even with dye. For example, blue dye would lend a blue-grey steelsilk, or a dark blue steelsilk that had a silver or grey sheen. Steelsilk is not chainmail.
Note: While the material steelsilk is generally found in stores, the crafting material steelsilk is quest-only.
