[Paladins' Guild, Chapel]
Beams of torchlight bounce off of carefully detailed windows of multicolored glass. Reed mats, intricately woven in a variety of patterns, are placed before a raised dais upon which resides a small altar. A quietly bubbling fountain adds to the atmosphere of solemn reverence.
You also see some ironwood double doors.
Obvious exits: none.

As you bow your head in reverence, the candles in the chapel flare brightly for a moment. The beams of light focus on the altar and coalesce briefly into a swirling ball of energy before floating slowly towards you, settling on the end of the torch in your hands.

The swirling mass of light seems to speak to your very soul.

"Ardanael..."

"You have grown strong, Ardanael. You have shown that you are worthy of my gift. You will be a light to those in darkness and a beacon for lost souls seeking redemption."

K>
"Remember, young one, my light is under your protection."

"Know this, Ardanael. My gift will not be given freely. You must prove yourself to me. You must journey far, to the city of The Crossing, and present my Light to the noble Sir Darius. Your sojourn must be one of silence and contemplation, devotion and reflection, peace and solitude. Focus on your inner being, meditate on your spiritual duty, concentrate on the burden you bear, but do not stray from the Path. Woe be unto the Paladin that fails to devote his full concentration to his assigned task."

"I must repeat, do not allow yourself to succumb to the pitfalls that lie in wait for you along the road. Only by being steadfast and focused will you accomplish your goals, not only the immediate, but also those yet to be discovered. This is not your first step along the Path, but it is an important one, indeed, for straying from your course early in the journey will impact your final destination dramatically."

Eamonn turns to you and speaks, "Congratulations Ardanael, you have again reached a milestone in yer career. You have shown promise as a guiding light in the Guild, a beacon in a sea of lost souls, and a blazing star in a world of darkness and despair. It is now time for you to learn how to harness and focus this illuminating force. It is time to learn of the Glyph of Light."

Eamonn smiles broadly and traces a strange glyph before himself. A glowing quintet of spheres begins a slow dance around his head.

"The Glyph of Light will call forth light from your soul that will repel the darkness from yer presence. These spheres will surround yer very being with a brilliant light, illuminating the area around you, making you more aware of your surroundings and conscious of the movements of those who oppose you."

"The noble and just Paladin is the only true source of this Light. Focus on the purity within yer soul and, with proper training, it can be harnessed and used to show others our way. Just as we strive to light the Path for our brothers and sisters, so should we light the way for those heathens in need of guidance and correction."

Eamonn glances at you and continues, "The power is within you. What is now required, is proof of yer devotion and yer promise to following the Path."

"Yer test be a simple one, Ardanael. You must take this torch into the Chapel and pray. After you receive yer guidance, continue on yer pilgrimmage to the Guild in The Crossing and speak to Verika. It is there that you will prove your dedication and concentration."
