wide ebonwood triptych painted in swirling ruby hues
Look: Cut into three panels of equal dimension, burnished gold hinges connect the wooden pieces and allow them to be opened and closed. The central board depicts a lush green bough blooming with a riot of vividly hued roses, each flower painted in exquisite detail utilizing the woods own natural grain. Mirror images of a single rose, viewed in close up, flank the panel on both sides, the flowers nothing more than abstract spirals of deeply shadowed blood-red hues.
