mm's nerdraged that wm's got 'visions' the first time, so later the visions were given to rangers or something.... and though it involved a wm, he might as well have been a commoner. I had heard that earth sense was giving weird responses in the hive, which is neat, and would be a nice alternate use for the spell people love less and less.

>>It just struck me when I came back how empty this folder is -- and it's true that we're no better off than say, the Ranger or Paladin guild eventwise. Even so, there are a lot of WMs out there and it's bizarre that there are so few events.

not sure about pally's, but barbs got some much needed event love recently, that was pretty cool.

Last WM event I recall was 3 moon mages stole Dzree's staff that controlled Paeldryth's air elementals, then stupidly tossed it in a fissure. Gauthus's hawk visited them after this, then a week later fire demons/elementals/satan popped out of it, claiming the "there was a new beast in town" and invaded with immolas which was never followed up... (seriously-)

>>I wish I could give you guys any names but I honestly don't remember.

You see Guild Researcher Githdem, an Elothean Warrior Mage.
Githdem has tilted almond-shaped milky white eyes. He has thinning silver hair, with blue-veined skin.
He is in his prime for an Elothean.
He is in good shape.

He is holding some scrap leather pieces in his left hand.
He is wearing a charcoal grey skullcap trimmed with soft brown felt, a triskele medallion etched with elemental symbols for earth, a canvas scribe's pack, a charcoal grey robe embroidered in multicolored thread with the crest of the Warrior Mage guild, an iron shesegri ring interspersed with flecks of mountain agate, a linen round-braided belt and some heavy leather traveling sandals with dull iron clasps.

I dug up my old log.

I did manange to find a copy of the vision too-

Inherently aware of the omnipresent currents of elemental mana surrounding you, a slight disruption tugs at your magical attunement. Before your very eyes, the streams of aether contort into the hazy image of a small spider. The creature perches in the air as if on an invisible web, motionless and vigilant. Though you focus your sight on the spider, it remains blurry and indistinct, as if a sending from far away. Gradually, the cloudy visage of a slightly larger being comes into view next to the spider. You are able to discern its shape as that of a bear, curled and sleeping peacefully yet retaining a softly glowing aura. The spider is situated above the bear as if observing it from above. Abruptly, your vision blackens and your senses are overtaken by darkness...

You frantically blink yourself awake to escape your prison of shadows, but, to your startling dismay, you realize that your eyes are already wide open. The excited chitters and clicks from chitinous carapaces slamming against stone echo loudly in your ears. A fierce drone rumbles through your head as if it were emanating from within your own body. Crunching and clawing against hard rock, the gravelly gnashing of solid stone being pulverized into dust, the frenzied insectoid buzz... it bursts inside you as if your soul itself longs to escape your mortal flesh. With a ferocious bang, the darkness pops into blinding whiteness, making you wonder if this is what happens when your brain explodes...

Steadily, the overwhelming light bleeds into the colors of your previous surroundings. You are left slightly numb, and the strange buzzing thrum of agitated insects still lingers in your ears. Recalling the spider and bear, you glance around only to notice a single pinpoint of light where each image once existed. The two tiny glowing specks float toward each other, merging briefly and expanding into the flickering outline of a diminutive Vykathi soldier before fading away completely.
