If you plan on Weaponsmithing, then you need a Hammer, Tongs, and Shovel (plus bellows, oil and wire brush from the vendor)

If you plan on Armorsmithing, then you need Pliers, plus everything for Weaponsmithing.

If you plan on Smelting, then you need a Stirring Rod and Shovel (plus bellows from the vendor)

If you plan on Mining, then you need a Shovel or a Pickaxe or both.

If you plan on Stonecarving, then you need a Chisels, Rifflers, and Rasp (plus polish from the vendor)

If you plan on Tailoring (cloth products), then you need a Sewing Needle, Knitting Needle, Slickstone, Scissors, and Yardstick (I think)

If you plan on Leatherworking, then you need a Hide Scraper, Sewing Needle, Scissors, Yardstick, and Awl (plus pins and sewing thread from the vendor)

All tools are made with maximum speed in mind at the cost of durability. However, all tools are tempered.

'''SPECIAL ORDERS:''' Custom orders are welcome! Almost every weapon can be forged with identical stats, as several different names. There is an extra fee of 3 plat per custom weapon type, or 5 plat per two. Also, if you have any particular weight in mind that isn’t listed, I can usually do custom weights as well.

'''BULK ORDERS:''' Currently, no discounts are given for bulk orders. This may or may not change in the future.

'''BULK ORDERS:''' Currently, my only bulk order discount is that there will be no extra fee for custom weapon types on an order of 5 or more items.
'''Durability:''' Unfortunately, since I originally posted this list, there was a major nerf to Tempering so that the best durability you can achieve with High C Steel is Rather Flimsy (4/18). I will continue selling these weapons since poor durability is a non-factor if you know the weaponsmithing techniques for repairing your own weapons. I will also continue adding Medium C Steel options to the list, which should have much better durability, at the cost of slight decrease in damage. Also, there will be a few items listed which are previously made High C Steel weapons at 7/18 durability, which I will sell at elevated prices until I run out of stock.

'''Prices:''' Pricing is mostly determined by the amount of time a particular item takes (honing or balancing takes extra time), and more importantly, how much volume of Platinum is required to make the item. Items with prices that seem unusually high are generally because that weight requires a lot of platinum.

*Stilettos: I am currently not offering balanced stilettos, so 10 stones is the only weight needed. Choose from slight better balance and damage, or much better durability. Or grab a pre-nerf High C Steel stiletto for double price while supplies last! Also available as a Telek, Pugio, or Poignard for a slight fee.

*Sabres: 24 stones is the best balance you can get on a Heavy damage backstabber. 30 stones will be the best damage you can get on a backstabbing weapon. 36 stones is the best damage on a sabre, but cannot be used to backstab. Also available as a Gladius, Baselard, Nambeli or Sashqa for a slight fee.
*Sabres: Sabres are very popular weapons so I’m offering several options at various weights and durabilities to accommodate characters of various strength. Keep in mind that 30 stones is the heaviest weight you can use to backstab with. Also available as a Gladius, Baselard, Nambeli or Sashqa for a slight fee.

*Scimitars: 24 stones is the lightest Heavy damage slicing weapon possible, and is great for new characters. 36 stones has the highest slicing damage for any Small Blades (LE or ME) weapon. Also available as a Hanger, Curlade, Parang or Adze for a slight fee.
*Scimitars: Scimitars remain very popular weapons since they have the highest slicing damage available on any Small Blades weapon. I offer several options at various weights and durabilities. Also available as a Hanger, Curlade, Parang or Adze for a slight fee.

*Cutlasses: These have lower slice damage than scimitars, but you gain impact damage and attack power. They are probably better options for ME users with very high strength. 42 stones is my baseline Cutlass - 44 is slightly better but costs more to make. Also available as a Shotel, Hatchet, or Hand Axe for a slight fee.

*Broadswords are the new cookie cutter HE weapon in place of bastard swords. 25 stones is perfect for new characters training HE. 35 stones is the baseline Great slice broadsword. At 42 stones you get higher impact damage and attack power. Also available as a Spatha, Arzfilt, or Kudalata for a slight fee.

At 42 stones you get higher impact damage and attack power, or higher durability. Also available as a Spatha, Arzfilt, or Kudalata for a slight fee.

*Battle axes are great for very high strength HE users. They give up almost all balance compared to a broadsword, but they gain a great deal of impact damage and attack power. This weapon is a must for HE users attempting to train against slice resistant creatures like warklins. Also available as a Falchion, Schiavona or Robe Sword for a slight fee.

*Two-Handed Swords: 40 stones is the lightest 2HE you can get, and this weapon still has very extreme slice damage. You can get up to bone-crushing slice with only 72 stones, which requires a modest 51 strength to wield with minimum RTs. Also available as a Greataxe, Warring Axe, or Marauder Blade for a slight fee.
*Two-Handed Swords: Most people ask for claymores, but trust me, two-handed swords are the way to go now. For similar weights, you’ll get several tiers higher slice damage at the cost of several tiers of useless puncture damage. I sell various versions at 44-48 stones, 60 stones and 72 stones to accommodate various character strengths. You can get up to bone-crushing slice with only 72 stones, which requires a modest 51 strength to wield with minimum RTs. Also available as a Greataxe, Warring Axe, or Marauder Blade for a slight fee.

*Flamberges: These are perfect for characters with ridiculously high strength (i.e. 70+). Unfortunately, their availability will not be consistent until I can get more skill. Also available as a Greatsword, Periperiu Sword or Double Axe (if flamberges are available at all).
*Greatswords: These pole-range 2handers are perfect for characters with ridiculously high strength (i.e. 70+). Unfortunately, right now I can only do the medium C steel versions of these weapons until I get more skill. Also available as a Flamberge, Periperiu Sword or Double Axe.

*Javelin (Pike/HT): This lodging HT does a lot less damage than the throwing hammers, but it is extremely light and extremely well balanced. Doubles as a great starter weapon for backtraining Pike weapons due to its excellent balance. Unlike most pike weapons, the javelin does not require a free offhand to use. Also available as a Light Spear, Hunthsleg, or Allarh for a slight fee.

Brawling Gear: Now that GMs have finally cleared up the confusion with brawling gear appraisals, I've settled on the optimized design with higher damage than before. Note that all durabilities are very low, but that brawling gear cannot be damaged so this doesn't matter.

*A note about templates: as long as you use the same template (such as Scaled, Brigandine, Lamellar) and exact same materials, the Protection and Absorption stats will turn out the same for all body parts (although weights, evasion hindrances and stealth hindrances will vary). So check the table above for Protection and Absorption stats, and the tables below for Weights, Hindrances, and Prices.

*LIGHT CHAIN and HEAVY CHAIN (future Chain skill) - Both chain and mail are almost exactly the same, just choose based on which of the current skills you would prefer to learn. Eventually they will be combined into one skill called Chain.
If you plan on Weaponsmithing, then you need a Hammer, Tongs, and Shovel (plus bellows, oil and wire brush from the vendor)

*LIGHT PLATE (future Brigandine skill) - Brigandine is best for people who want the lowest weight Light Plate possible. Lamellar is my standard Light Plate setup, for those who want the best possible protection/absorption at a reasonable weight.
If you plan on Armorsmithing, then you need Pliers, and… not sure

If you plan on Smelting, then you need a Stirring Rod and Shovel (plus bellows from the vendor)

If you plan on Mining, then you need a Shovel or a Pickaxe or both.

If you plan on Stonecarving, then you need a Chisels, Rifflers, and Rasp (plus polish from the vendor)

For a full set of armor, you can either choose Balaclava (head, neck, eyes) + Lorica (chest, abdomen, back) + Sleeves (arms, hands) + Greaves (legs), or you can choose Balaclva + Hauberk (torso, arms, legs) + Gloves (hands). Or feel free to mix and match if you want to train multiple armors at the same time.
All tools are made with maximum speed in mind at the cost of durability. However, all Orasteel tools were made with Medium C steel, since this is only a tiny bit slower than High C steel but has over double the durability. I can craft High C orasteel tools upon request, although I would highly discourage using these unless you know the techniques for making your tools immune to damage.

Apu's Forged Tools

All tools are made with maximum speed in mind at the cost of durability. However, all tools are tempered.

Apu's Forged Weapons

SHOP: Apu's: just ask any guard in the Crossing market plaza about Apu, and you're there. Items that I attempt to keep stocked in my shop are marked below as STOCKED, but every item below is available by either finding Apu in game, or you can IM me at Homer3142 or send an e-mail to the same username, at yahoo.com.

SPECIAL ORDERS: Custom orders are welcome! Almost every weapon can be forged with identical stats, as several different names. There is an extra fee of 2 plat per custom weapon type. Also, if you have any particular weight in mind that isn’t listed, I can usually do custom weights as well.

BULK ORDERS: Currently, my only bulk order discount is that there will be no extra fee for custom weapon types on an order of 5 or more items.

Prices: Pricing is mostly determined by the amount of time a particular item takes (honing or balancing takes extra time), and more importantly, how much volume of Platinum is required to make the item. Items with prices that seem unusually high are generally because that weight requires a lot of platinum.

  • Daos: 25 stones is my baseline slicing LE with good durability. 30 stones is higher damage but lower durability. Also available as a Falcata, Koummya, Oben or Kythe for a slight fee.

  • Sabres: Sabres are very popular weapons so I’m offering several options at various weights and durabilities to accommodate characters of various strength. Keep in mind that 30 stones is the heaviest weight you can use to backstab with. Also available as a Gladius, Baselard, Nambeli or Sashqa for a slight fee.
  • Scimitars: Scimitars remain very popular weapons since they have the highest slicing damage available on any Small Blades weapon. I offer several options at various weights and durabilities. Also available as a Hanger, Curlade, Parang or Adze for a slight fee.
  • Cutlasses: These have lower slice damage than scimitars, but you gain impact damage and attack power. They are probably better options for ME users with very high strength. 42 stones is my baseline Cutlass - 44 is slightly better but costs more to make. Also available as a Shotel, Hatchet, or Hand Axe for a slight fee.

  • Broadswords are the new cookie cutter HE weapon in place of bastard swords. 25-30 stones is perfect for new characters training HE. 35 stones is the baseline Great slice broadsword. At 42 stones you get higher impact damage and attack power, or higher durability. Also available as a Spatha, Arzfilt, or Kudalata for a slight fee.
  • Battle axes are great for very high strength HE users. They give up almost all balance compared to a broadsword, but they gain a great deal of impact damage and attack power. This weapon is a must for HE users attempting to train against slice resistant creatures like warklins. Also available as a Falchion, Schiavona or Robe Sword for a slight fee.

  • Two-Handed Swords: Most people ask for claymores, but trust me, two-handed swords are the way to go now.
  • Greatswords: These pole-range 2handers are perfect for characters with ridiculously high strength (i.e. 70+). Unfortunately, right now I can only do the medium C steel versions of these weapons until I get more skill. Also available as a Flamberge, Periperiu Sword or Double Axe.

  • Throwing Clubs (LB/LT): 25 stones is the baseline for a non-lodging Somewhat Heavy light thrown. 20 stones is lighter version with better balance which is good for new characters. 31 stones costs more, and is the top damage you can get from a LB/LT. If you are concerned about durability on your thrown weapons, your best option is the 29 stones medium C version. Also available as a Bulhawf, Cuska or Bola for a slight fee.
  • Throwing Hammer (HB/HT): 36 stones provides Great impact damage, 50 stones provides Very Great, 60 gives Severe, and 63 stones is Very Severe. Take your pick based on your strength and how much you can throw without tiring yourself out! Note that the lightest and heaviest have lower durability. Also available as a Hhr'ata, Hurlable War Hammer, or Throwing Mallet, for a slight fee.
  • Javelin (Pike/HT): This lodging HT does a lot less damage than the throwing hammers, but it is extremely light and very well balanced. Doubles as a great starter weapon for backtraining Pike weapons due to its excellent balance. Unlike most pike weapons, the javelin does not require a free offhand to use. Also available as a Light Spear, Hunthsleg, or Allarh for a slight fee.
  • Spear (Pike/HT): This is the heavy version of a Javelin. Does even more damage than the guildfest Tempered Pitchfork, although it is 10 stones heavier. Also available as a Military Fork or Duraka Skefne for a slight fee.

  • Quarterstaves: These have been buffed tremendously and are a very solid weapon now. The damage is on par with Heavy Blunts, with far better balance (but less attack power). Canes at 29 stones are perfect for new characters, or for old characters who are backtraining and need extra balance. 60 stones is best for high strength characters training the skill at level. Not available as any other option.

Halberds: I don't know a whole lot about halberds, but they seem like pretty solid weapons nowadays. Scythes (also available as Guisarme, Bardiche, and Lochaber Axe) are best for new characters with low strength. Glaives (also available as Partisan, Khuj and Two-Pronged Halberd) are the best new halberds with a very strong combination of slice damage, impact damage, and attack power.

  • LIGHT CHAIN and HEAVY CHAIN (future Chain skill) - Both chain and mail are almost exactly the same, just choose based on which of the current skills you would prefer to learn. Eventually they will be combined into one skill called Chain.
  • LIGHT PLATE (future Brigandine skill) - Brigandine is best for people who want the lowest weight Light Plate possible. Lamellar is my standard Light Plate setup, for those who want the best possible protection/absorption at a reasonable weight.
