Introduction

Vonagan is a young initiate of the Monks of the Crystal Hand that has recently set out to try his hand at the adventuring lifestyle. He was born in Leth Deriel on the 6th day of the 7th month of Moliko the Balance in the year of the Crystal Snow Hare, 314 years after the victory of Lanival the Redeemer.

Appearance

You see Vonagan Rivendel of the Monks, an Elf.
Vonagan has an angular face, slightly pointed ears, deep-set crystal blue eyes and a classical nose. His black hair is long and thick, and is worn loose. He has tanned skin and an athletic build.
He is average height for an Elf.
He is adult for an Elf.
He is clean shaven.
He is in good shape.

He is holding an ornate sana'ati wood staff engraved with an intricate spiral of Ilithic script in his right hand.
He is wearing an austere haversack fashioned from distressed leather, a polished leather back harness with a graceful slender-bladed sword strapped to it, some elaborately tooled leathers shrouded with unassuming grey linen, a pale leather betrothal bracelet displaying a lifesculpted oval of petrified sana'ati, a wide leather wristband branded with the outline of an open hand, an onyx ring, a gold ring, an albredine crystal ring, a pair of undyed linen pants belted with a wide jade-green sash and some simple linen footwraps reinforced with thick leather.

Items

an ornate sana'ati wood staff engraved with an intricate spiral of Ilithic script in his right hand
Flowing from one end of the staff to the other in a tight spiral, the elegant chirography transforms a simple repeated mantra into a work of art. The smooth, polished finish brings out the fine qualities of the sana'ati wood, the fiery grain gleaming brightly.
There appears to be something written on it.
A sana'ati wood staff reads:
"Sari bir galdera amisa. Galdetu, emma hin galdetu abiada imir bin erana islemiro."

a graceful slender-bladed sword with a silk-wrapped hilt

Exquisitely balanced and tempered with the experienced martial artist in mind, the slim hand-and-a-half blade has been lovingly maintained by an expert in the sword-arts. The detailed craftsmanship displays a simple yet graceful elegance, from its plain, undecorated yet finely-honed blade to the pale silken ribbons trailing beyond the pommel of the elaborately-wrapped hilt.

an austere haversack fashioned from distressed leather
The material is weathered but sturdy, the brown leather faded with age and use but well-kept. The only adornment breaking from the simplistic design is the clasp, which is forged from antiqued silver into an open hand with a small, uneven piece of honey-golden amber in the palm.

a pale leather betrothal bracelet displaying a lifesculpted oval of petrified sana'ati
Stylized geometric knotwork has been branded onto the edges of the wide band, criss-crossing in front to surround the thumbnail-sized oval of sana'ati. A thin band of polished silver embraces the stone, affixing it securely to the leather. Veins of what was once pale golden sapwood gleam against the fiery petrified woodgrain, creating a symmetrical labyrinthine design within the heart of the stone.

some elaborately tooled leathers shrouded with unassuming grey linen

A highly intricate and diverse tableau of images tooled flows amid a sprawling web of miniscule chirography. The spidery script accents a wildly convoluted map of Kermoria and its starry skies which cover nearly the entire surface of the armor. Securely woven into the leathers at the shoulders and elbows, a wide-sleeved expanse of grey linen embroidered with a simple yellow hand is left open to flow down the torso.

a wide leather wristband branded with the outline of an open hand
The leather is a faded, mottled brown, but shows signs of attentive care and maintenance. Centered in the palm of the stylized hand is a tiny honey-hued amber cabochon with a carmine inclusion in the heart of the gem. Thin strips of rawhide lace up the inside, allowing it to fit snugly around the forearm.

a pair of undyed linen pants belted with a wide jade-green sash
The brushed greyish-tan linen is tailored to hang from hip to ankle in loose folds. A handspan-wide length of finespun jade-green cashmere securely binds the waist, a simple red-gold amber brooch gathering it in the front.

some simple linen footwraps reinforced with thick leather
Wide strips of dusty linen serve to bind a rounded strip of thick brown leather to the soles of the feet. Long enough to completely cover the feet, ankles and calves, the linen is ragged with age and travel, but sturdy.
