Mazrian joined the Therengian militia approximately 374 AV. During his tenure there, he rose to the rank of Commander and garnered personal commendation from Baron Gyfford Theren for service during the Dragon Priest crusades. At the same meeting which he was commended he was publicly reprimanded for cutting off Shaarl's tail during the course of the crusade.

Beginning in 392 AV, Mazrian began a group called The Flying Company with other like minded individuals. The company is unaffiliated with any province and this has caused some tension for Mazrian's former collegues in Therengia.
