You hear a voice recite from the shadows:
    "Each stagelight is mysteriously extinguished, one by one, until at last the entire theater is cloaked in darkness.  A white mist floats across the space from each of the wings, clinging to the floor and creeping forward until it blankets the entire stage."

You hear a voice recite from the shadows:
    "A pale blue light gradually illuminates one corner, revealing a single figure stretched gracefully along the ground, bent over upon herself with her lithe arms outstretched.  A solitary violin begins to croon a stirring melody, its beautiful tones resonating throughout the vast area."

(Mendira, as Gigi the Peacock Dancer, rises slowly as if rousing from slumber.  Her arm makes an elegant arc upwards, and her torso twists to one side as she shifts upon her legs, smoothly pulling forward into a kneeling position.  One hand is held high above to mimic the head of a peacock, three fingers arrayed to portray a crest of feathers.)

(Mendira reaches her other hand out to grasp the skirt of her gown.  She holds the fabric taut as she dips into a twirl, climbing to her feet surrounded by a swirl of black and iridescent blue-green hues.  The violin's song grows in strength and volume as she spins, the dazzling refrain echoed in her movements.)

(Mendira stands tall with one foot pointing towards the center of the stage as her body faces out.  She holds her position as her skirts settle, her arm undulating to cause the feathers of her gown to flutter gently.  She reaches up, gazing devoutly into the pale spotlight.)

You hear a voice recite from the shadows:
    "The spotlight over Gigi fades away, darkening the stage once more but for the eerie white haze.  An additional beam of pale blue luminescence begins to shine over the opposite corner, revealing a second figure folded in avian repose."

(Iryta, as Ri-Ri the Peacock Dancer, appears tucked beneath a cascading iridescent green and blue feathered cloak, low to the ground and folded forward over her outstretched legs-one behind, belled toes planted firmly into the stage floor and the other extended before her, toes pointed out in a spectacular example of the splits.  Her feather festooned hand slowly peeks out from the cloak, cocking left and right in short, twitchy movement as if cautiously taking in her surroundings.)

(Iryta slowly raises her torso upwards, sliding the leg extended behind her around in a smooth half-circle to meet the forward facing foot that is simultaneously being pulled inwards.  She rises to one knee and straightens, the cloak gently slipping off her head and resting at her shoulders, exposing a feathered, beaked mask with black eyes.)

(Iryta shakes her head irritably, head cocked towards the audience in an inquisitive angle.  The lone violin rings out with a discordant cry as she springs to her feet and dashes across the stage in a circle, moving in a swift jete from one pointed toe to the other in a snappy split-leap, before suddenly coming to a halt, arms swept up in a graceful half-moon above her head.)

(Iryta turns her gaze from the audience and lifts her eyes to the spotlight before her, stretching her foot back behind her and pressing her toes into the floorboards once more, her blue and green feathered gown fluttering against her legs before falling as still as its wearer.)

You hear a voice recite from the shadows:
    "The stage plunges into darkness again for a moment as once again the sound of the lone violin rings through the air.  Another pool of pale blue illuminates center stage and features the resting form of a third figure as her body is arched elegantly across the floor."

(Vixonia, as Lulu the Peacock Dancer, slowly uncurls from where she lay poised on the stage floor.  Her hands slowly reach out yearningly into the misty blue as her head flips up and the delicate details of her mask are shown in stark relief within the spotlight.)

(Vixonia wavers for a moment, her body undulating slightly before she rises languidly to her feet.  The flowing skirt of her gown flares about her as she executes a sweeping high kick that causes a turbulent flutter of fabric and feathers around her body as more instruments join in and the music starts to swell.)

You hear a voice recite from the shadows:
    "The euphony surges forward, building a brilliant and bold harmony.  Spotlights brighten the corners once more, revealing Ri-Ri and Gigi frozen in their poses, and Lulu continues to dance."

(Vixonia uses the circular motion of the kick to flow into a stationary spin, the sweep of her skirts as she twirls brushing away the remnants of the fog as her arms reach towards the sky.  Fingers beckoning as if to draw the spirit of the air down onto the stage, the gentle swirl of her skirts slow.)

(Vixonia stops dancing and stands regally before you in the pool of light, one hand raised to the air with gloved fingers splayed enticingly, the other reaching out as she leans forward slightly as if to beckon to the audience as well.)

You hear a voice recite from the shadows:
    "The haunting tones of a soprano voice soar over the music, vocalizing in an unknown language as the stage lights illuminate all three dancers gracefully poised and still on the stage emulating a still life drawing.  Gowned in deepest black, the vibrant blues and greens of peacock feathers shimmer in the light as their faces are masked with elaborately detailed avian masks."

(Vixonia draws your attention as she once again starts to sway in an alluring manner, her head cocking to the side forcing the glittering aquamarine gems of the exquisitely detailed mask to sparkle in the stage lights.  The delicate feathers of her costume flutter in the slightest breeze as she arches over one bent knee, arms reaching forward and sweeping around her body.  She raises up on one foot and spins around causing a maelstrom of fluttery movement as she turns to face the dancer on her right.)

(Iryta follows immediate suit seamlessly, as if a silent extension of Lulu's own form.  Her body sways restlessly beneath her cloak, rustling the plumage such that each glittering thread catches the light and winks at the audience.  As she completes the turn, her inky black gown flutters about her ankles and the ensuing zephyr causes the feathers adorning it to briefly flit in the air before once again falling still.)

(Mendira joins the choreography of her fellow dancers.  Her arms trace elegant lines about her figure, and she dips to one side into a smooth twirl until she is facing the back of the stage.  She leans to one side and turns her head to be seen in profile.  Her arms dip and bend in segmented patterns, rippling in time to the music in a manner reminiscent of avian wings.)

(Vixonia follows suit, her arms flowing agilely in graceful arcs around her lithe form as she dips and twirls to match Gigi's movements.  Soft, supple slippers move across the floor as the dance shifts and the delicate flow of her iridescent cloak accentuates her movements and the trio of spotlights follow the dancers as they move towards each other.  The pulsating beat of the drums that back up the violins as the music swells again to an inspiring pace.)

(Iryta mimics Lulu closely as the three dancers converge upon the center of the stage, beginning a new circular pattern.  Her masked face twitches in graceful snaps to each cardinal direction as the delicate fingers of each hand, one before her and one raised behind her, describe the same bobbing pattern.  Her feet glide across the floor, lightly bouncing on her pointed toes, and her spine curves and undulates with each step.)

(Mendira nimbly sashays alongside Ri-Ri, the dancers' path arching around the stage.  The three figures loop effortlessly between one another, the feathers of their costumes fluttering with each graceful movement.)

(Iryta deftly and delicately loops and twirls around the other two dancers, the feathers of her dress, cloak and mask fluttering in her wake like a true peacock bounding and leaping with joyful abandon.)

(Vixonia revels in the circuitous dance, spritely weaving between the other dancers with light steps as her body bends and flows with the exhilarating orchestration.  Her delicate fingers mimic Ri-Ri's movements as her costume flutters and emphasizes her fluid movements.)

(Vixonia swerves out of formation as the music crescendos and ends the dance with a proud stance center stage, head cocked to the side as the glittery depths of the faceted eyes of her mask stare out into the audience.  Reaching to grasp the hem of her gown, she raises it to draw the fullness of the fabric up into a graceful fan of sparkling peacock feathers behind her.)

You hear a voice recite from the shadows:
    "Once Lulu is poised, her fellow dancers flitter down to rest within silken pools of ebony and iridescent green to either side, their bodies arched gracefully and arms elongated as they kneel upon the stage.  Ri-Ri and Gigi gaze up at Lulu, the profiles of their masks framed in sharp avian angles.  The music concludes as the dulcet soprano delivers a final ululating trill and the violin races up a run of dramatic notes to its decisive end."
