[Eyes of the Thirteen, Eye of Truffenyi]<br>
The granite platform sparkles slightly where touched by the diffused light shed by the silvery blue dome.  Silver feathers inlaid in the crystal dapple the surface of a polished granite altar with tiny shadows that almost blend into the stone's already mottled surface.  Rising from the altar's center is an ornately carved triptych statue crafted so seamlessly as to appear an extension of the same stone of the altar.  You also see a pink-eared white piglet with a bright yellow shirt stitched with a chaotic rainbow of daisies on it, a horned phantom thrall and a tall silver candlestick.<br>

An insistant squeaking echoes slightly through the dome, but when you look up toward the arch, the statue of the weasel hasn't moved.

Crowfeet quietly exclaims, "If you brought a pet and it leaves an offering, please clean it up. Thank you!"

Ezathiel pleasantly says to Harsh, "I will take one of those beads."

The music takes hold, manifesting as a large dome of shimmering light.

As Aaiyaah starts to place his Truffenyi orb on the altar it leaps from his hand and suddenly glows brightly, hovering just above the altar before it bursts into a flash of excruciatingly beautiful light which instead of dissipating, streaks around the area as tendrils of light representing every color of the rainbow.

Then, an instant later, the multicolored lights gather around Aaiyaah and mix together, forming a white mass of brightness which completely obscures him from sight.  Slowly, it appears to seep into Aaiyaah, until all the light is gone and Aaiyaah appears somehow changed.

<span style="color:red">A golden radiance washes over your field of view as a vision overtakes you.  Before you stands a stalwart ox, its shoulders bunched with muscle and its noble head upraised to gaze at an enormous dragon looming overhead.  The ox snorts and lowers its head, long horns pointed forward, poised to charge.  The dragon rears up, wings outspread, its form blotting out the sun.  Shade is cast across the ox.


Leayne giggles at Crobin.

Allye gasps!

Savage Snacker Selame's group came across Truffenyi's shrine.

Gwenddolyn exclaims, "Oh !"

Elurora covers her mouth with her hand.

Leayne softly says, "I have a vision."

Xionara softly exclaims, "Hah!"

Kerennya exclaims, "Oh wow!"

Akeiro waves.

Selame smiles.

Aerilia furrows her brow.

Akeiro reaches down and rubs Atuen's tail.

Karthor strokes his beard in thoughtful contemplation.

Aaiyaah says, "Oh wow....so this is what a vision feels like."

Xionara softly says, "A dragon."

Ezathiel softly says, "Magnificent."

<span style="color:red">As you continue to watch, a battle ensues between ox and dragon.  The ox, tiny as it is in comparison, is battered by the dragon's claws and sent sprawling to the ground.  Over and over again the dragon attacks and the ox takes the blow.  By the end, it is bleeding and broken, and it lies panting for a long minute.  Its skin shivers slightly, then it stands again, shaking its head and readying another charge.


Tirost frowns and opens his eyes.

Leayne softly says, "Oh my."

Gwenddolyn says, "A battle."

Tathalus gets a quiet, peaceful look on his face.

A pained expression crosses Allye's face.

Anuril touches some Autumn Harvest tobacco with a glowing finger, and it quickly catches fire.

Unaka quietly says, "You see? He has heard you, and he blesses us all with a vision."

Atuen says to Unaka, "You bought the violence with that vision of the Dragon."

Crowfeet quietly says, "He isn't a child of Truffenyi though. He is a child of Havroth or however you say it."

Atuen gazes at Unaka.

Trajan says, "I'm not sure Atuen was ever a child, so much as he just sprung forth from a particularly sour lemon that someone left in a nest."

Akeiro whispers something to Selame.

Crobin smiles at Thanator.

Kerennya says, "Well, it matches what we've been told about the Heralds being a lot stronger than the Immortals."

Unaka says, "Truffenyi gives what he gives. It doesn't have to do with me."

Crowfeet says, "Don't Heralds sometime manifest as dragons? I'm not learned in such things."

Elurora says, "I don't think it's a literal dragon anymore than it was a literal Ox.  It is to show us there is a battling going between the Gods and something else."

Tirost grins at Tathalus.

Harsh smiles at Lycidylia.

Unaka rubs one hand over her scalp thoughtfully.

Atuen says to Unaka, "Finally you speak some sense..."

Xionara frowns, shaking her head with an expression of exasperation before resting her face in the palm of her hand.

Aerilia says, "I interpreted it to mean we should be like the ox and continue to try in the face of adversity and defeat."

Maintain says to Aaiyaah, "This unworthy monk has considered it. He believes that Truffenyi indicates that the Heralds are trying to accomplish something that he, and likely the other gods, disagree with. Or something on the same level of power as a Herald."

It wouldn't make sense for the Heralds, for example.  Maybe it will make sense later.  Or maybe that take about overcoming general adversity was all it meant."

Saragos says, "I must say, dark as it seems, something about that vision is heartening to me.  I'm used to fighting battles where I'm the underdog, and I'd like to point out that the Ox doesn't have to defeat the Dragon to get it's way.  It just has to be far, far more trouble than it's worth.  I'm glad to see the Ox is committed."

Unaka smiles at Saragos.

Briaen strokes his beard in thoughtful contemplation.

Rozalynde ponders.

Unaka says, "Yeah, that's Truffenyi, all right. And me."

Laureh says, "During the late days of winter, Liraxes had us do something that seemed...helpful."

Briaen says, "Perhaps I am growing impatient, but we stand well within the time of action being required.  For all the prayers to Albreda for peace and to the Dawnmother for the safe return of our lost friends, I do not anticipate this story has a bloodless ending."

Illiya shakes her head.

Unaka says, "The Heralds? I didn't know they had messengers. Heard stories about them but that's all."

Imroth smirks.

Unaka nods to Briaen.

Teavira serenely says, "Don't know, but perhaps we should see."
