In the Crossing Monastery Field on [[RanikMap6 | Map 6]], [[Forest of Night]] on [[RanikMap60 | Map60]], and [[Dunshade Manor]] on [[RanikMap30b | Map 30b]] the death spirits are armed with a {{cloot|a|tattered shadowy  shroud}}, a {{cloot|s|shadowy shield}} and a {{cloot|w|slice of black shadow}}.  All equipment disappears once killed.

On the Reshalia Trade Road on [[RanikMap92|Map 92]] they fight with a {{cloot|a|pale grey tattered shroud}} a {{cloot|w|slice of black shadow}} and a {{cloot|s|shadowy shield}}.

Under the Crossing Moon Mage Guild in what is known as [[Lost Crossing]] ([[RanikMap8a | Map 8a]]), however, they fight armorless and use their claws to attack. 

Some invasion version once dropped either a {{sloot|w|grim black-handled axe (me)}} or very rarely a {{sloot|w|grim black-handled axe (he)}}.

Box difficulty is estimated at about 120 ranks.

Drops cards/diras, runes, scrolls, herbs, and other assorted 'junk' items.

Survival Tertiary, traps hard to see at 149 perception with runestone cast clear vision (35+2 agil and reflex).  Boxes Disarm and pick (care) easily once you finally see traps at 132 locksmithing.
