It's good to see clarification of House Giraud's status, but I am of the opinion the trial wasn't entirely clear about the end results. Particularly when Sebestyen asked about whether he could continue leading the House in its degraded, suspended state. There was never a blatant 'no' given and the Baron's reaction to the question gave the impression (to me, at least) that he had no quarrel with Sebestyen retaining the title of Lord.

Just my opinion, take it or leave it... It's all water under the bridge, any how. - Talli

I'm personally just happy when GMs have time to add information. -Moderator Caraamon Makdasi(talk) 11:25, 19 February 2013 (UTC)

It was fairly clear that The House is not 'stripped' of status:

Sebestyen asks, "Your Grace.. if I may ask about the House?"
Gyfford says, "The house is degraded and suspended."
Sebestyen asks, "So.. I am not released as Lord?"
Gyfford says, "I find you guilty of nothing sir."
Gyfford says, "But her house is suspended."
Sebestyen says, "Thank you, I will take it up in it's degraded and suspended status if you will allow it Your Grace."
Gyfford nods to Sebestyen.

What was unclear was what suspended and degraded means. Also unclear is what is required for redemption.

This has been asked and answered so many times now, it's like a bad cartoon. :D
The house was suspended, it doesn't exist anymore, and we're not officially recognizing any player-run houses which was decision handed down from the top, as well as SGMs. -- GM Jhustis ---

sus·pend (s-spnd) v. sus·pend·ed, sus·pend·ing, sus·pends v.tr. 1. To bar for a period from a privilege, office, or position, usually as a punishment: suspend a student from school. 2. To cause to stop for a period; interrupt: suspended the trial.

dis·solve (d-zlv) v. dis·solved, dis·solv·ing, dis·solves v.tr.

5. To bring to an end by or as if by breaking up; terminate.

There is a bit of difference in the definitions.

Again, GM Quarel or the SGM that is presumably Quarel's boss needs to weigh in on it one way or another. I am happy either way.

I would add what SGM Lyneya specifically said in regard:

"As GM Jhustis explained to you, events for the House Giraud are not something the Barony will get behind. The House has been suspended and degraded, so there can be no "official" support from Therengia for them.

When you questioned the Baron about whether or not you could take over the House, he did explain to you IC'ly that you were welcome to, but that it was suspended and would remain so. That means that you've taken over a name that is defunct in the eyes of the law in Theren."

Defunct has a different meaning than suspended as well. Get GM Quarel to bring it in game, else IC'ly this discussion means nothing.

I think it's great that the GMs are willing to participate in keeping up with and editing this website, since it seems to be the most widely used for information; however, the comment of "this has been asked and answered so many times now, it's like a bad cartoon" came across as snarky and unprofessional. I know this situation has been going on for a while now, both in and out of game, but I personally expect a little more tact when certain parties are involved.
As for the issue at hand, I hope it all gets settled soon, for the sake of all parties. - Fintrial

I would take it in the spirit it was offered. A GM tired of having to answer the same question over and over. We've all been there, we've all wanted to strangle the next person who bothers us about something. As the youngins say "chillax!" Just to clarify, the only GM I have asked about the status of the House is GM Quarel and have not received a definitive response either IG or OOG. I have no idea who is asking GM Jhustis about House Giraud because it is not me. She has responded on this page as well as my own character page on her own accord, and the information posted is quite contrary to what GM Quarel has RP'd and discussed with me. To insinuate that I have perpetually bothered GM's with this RP is quite inaccurate. I have NEVER asked GM Jhustis about this matter and if she is bothered by it, the source is from elsewhere.
