Raccoon

If you meet the requirements, you can get your very own raccoon by doing the following:

  • Find some corn, this can be foraged year round in certain locations. Outside ranger tent in Haven and clearing near the goblin brook are two easy places to find it.
  • Travel to Leth Deriel. You want to go to the SW most room outside the SE Gate of Leth (the room with the steep grass-covered hill).
  • PUT (yes the syntax matters) the corn on the ground.
  • Hide and wait.
  • When a baby raccoon comes out of the bushes and starts to eat the corn, APPROACH raccoon.
  • Repeat until it does not run away form you, then quickly SIGNAL RACCOON TO JUMP.
    • There are hawks in this room that will eat baby raccoons on the ground.
    • Feeding the hawks is endless fun, particularly after you've lost your 20th companion to stupid game mechanics.

Wolf

Ensure your Ranger bonus is near maximum before starting on this quest!

  • Acquire some milk. You can buy this in shops or find it in certain places for free on food tables.
  • Travel to the cougar area near Wolf Clan.
  • Travel to the room with the trail to climb into ogre area (farthest west from center of cougar area). Lich: 1516 or Genie: 103.

Daytime room desc:

[Dense Forest]
Stray beams of sunlight filter down through the dense, leafy trees, turning the floating dust motes into dancing fairies. The ground rises to the west, and turns rockier, the trees thinning out a bit in the less fertile soil.
You also see a steep trail.
Obvious exits: east.

  • While holding the milk, kneel and wait.
  • If you meet the requirements, you will receive the following messaging: From nowhere, a wolf pack appears and stops to catch its breath. One of the wolves looks at you and almost seems to smile.
  • When the wolf pack appears, APPROACH pack.
  • Messaging for successful approach: One of the wolf cubs timidly moves towards you while its mother looks on. After a moment the pack moves on while leaving the cub here.
