News 1 31 - Spouses and consent

NEWS article 1-31:

Dateline 1/13/2015: SPOUSES AND CONSENT

Couples who are legitimately "bonded" through the proper ceremonies using the Saemaus rose will be allowed "consent" in situations where their spouse is concerned.

In short, if your actions grant consent to someone's wife/husband or partner, their spouse is considered to have consent as well.

Note: The bonding MUST have been in place BEFORE the initial incident. There will be NO tolerance of characters bonding with other characters just to get revenge on someone. Violations of this rule will result in warnings for Unconsented PVP and/or Mechanics Abuse. Additionally, this does not mean that BOTH members of the couple can kill the offending player (although they CAN assist each other). When the situation is resolved the first time, by either member of the couple, it's finished.

PvP Stance and Spouses

If you are Open, and you are attacked or events occur in which you would have standard consent per policy, EITHER you or your spouse may handle things per normal policy. However, just like normal people and their spouses, this is an either / or situation, you may not both deal with it.

Once 'one death' has been satisfied in any attempt to take advantage of spousal consent, it's done. (Unless everyone is Open, then have at it!).
