Notes
Fireball has a chance to spawn fire shards after the initial hit; other times it will just slightly burn them as it goes past.
- When you cast the spell at a target, the area mechanics start sorting out which other targets to hit. Any targets that are hit before the intended target get a 'whoosh' single strike. The intended target gets a whoosh or a exploding hit. And any targets that remain after the main target is hit get hit with shrapnel.[1]
- Fire Ball's appearance can be altered with the Pattern Hues cantrip. Example:
Surrounded by a nimbus of phosphorescent ash grey light, a small ball of flame flies at a dire bear!
