Recall

Great legends are whispered about the steel mace and its abilities. Many of the tales involve a wandering tribe of nomads with an affinity for wind-related magics. During their travels, they frequently passed through hostile lands infested with hordes of winged beasts.

The monsters harassed the nomads and dwindled their numbers until only five remained. After a long summer night spent hiding within a cave, the nomads resolved to make one final stand against the awaiting creatures.

Each drew their weapons and uttered prayers to Everild and Meraud to fuel their resolve and bolster their spells. As they concluded, a powerful gale roared through the cave, knocking them to the ground and taking up their weapons into a swirling vortex of gleaming death.

While such weapons' existence was a closely guarded secret, many witnesses over the years have made accounts of battles in which powerful wind magics exploded from an attacker's blade at a critical moment to turn the tide.

Whether this is one of the original weapons or not may never be known.
