Vela'tohr tourmaline
Mined from deep within the southern tier of the Arncharn Shel mountain range in Forfedhdar, this gem is found clustered densely in small pockets of metamorphic rock. The heat from Elanthia's core reacts with the region's icy climate to formulate a unique crystal structure rich in natural pigment-enhancing minerals.
Named after the blighted flora of the Vela'Tohr Woods surrounding the base of Asketi's Mount, the tourmaline has been magically enhanced to display an array of colors reminiscent of the plant's beautiful blossoms.
Depending on the lighting, the jewel exhibits verdant green, vibrant orange or dusky red hues.
These gems are considered "rare" items, and must be provided for any alteration involving them. They are currently only available as part of jewelry sold by Blanve's Bounty.
