Renowned for their beautiful, dense and durable timber, the rare tamboti trees are found growing in single-species copses in deciduous woodlands where nearby brackish water can be found.

Tamboti wood is a reddish-brown reminiscent of dried blood, but with a satin-like lustre and an extremely fragrant sweet, spicy smell that persists long after removal from the living tree. Shipbuilders particularly value tamboti for decorative aspects of of ships, such as figureheads or interior work for the captain's quarters, as its connection to brackish water is seen as being a symbolic balance of reverence for Drogor, Eluned, and Lemicus.
