Ashcloak prices skyrocket based on purchases. 150 plat is only the starting price.

• Using SHOP does not reveal this continuous price hike.
  
• It is not until you [attempt to] BUY the item that the clerk informs you of the actual price.
  
• Only by trying to GET an item are you presented with an explanation:
  

The clerk glances at a ledger and shrewdly says, "That's been popular this visit. I'll be charging a bit more for each one sold."

• The clerk then rushes over and quickly informs you of the real price:
  

The sales clerk smiles and says, "The price on a <ashcloak> is <gouged amount> Lirums. You can BUY the item if you like."
