|p=In the near future we are going to make some changes to how the "[[post relates to::DFA|Death from Above]]" defense contest works. Shield-ignoring spells will retain their namesake ability to bypass the [[post relates to::Shield Usage skill]]. However, they will become significantly easier to dodge with the [[post relates to::Evasion skill]].

What this means to you:<br />
1: The shield-ignoring spells are getting nerfed. Fin. They will be less potent than they are now in every circumstance.<br />
2: All else being equal, you will still be better off with shield-ignoring {{skill|Targeted Magic|TM}} over conventional TM when facing a shield-using opponent. That is the niche of these spells and it is not going away, though it is diminishing in intensity.<br />
3: Conversely, shield-ignoring spells will become an exceptionally poor choice against targets that rely primarily on Evasion for their defense. Conventional TM spells get a niche, too.

This change is not live yet. This post is intended to give you a chance to understand what will happen to your spells before getting hit with the change.
