Tuesday Tidings - 99 - Ammo Stacking for Autoloot · on 01/11/2022 20:43 1916
Happy Tuesday, folks!

This week, the autoloot mechs were updated to try and stack ammo as its placed into a lootsack/pouch/etc. Stacked ammo should only count as a single item against an AUTOLOOT container's limit.

To support this, the previously mentioned updates to ammo weights when stacked are a part of this release as well. You won't login and have updated/increased weights from this release, but if you remove from or add to a stack of ammo, its weight will update at that point. There's likely still quirky behavior in ammo weights via certain verbs or interactions, and we'll be working to resolve those as we can, but stacking should behave consistently going forward.

In the future, we can look at having fired ammo (that isn't lodged) stack as a single item at your feet, or creature ammo that otherwise scrolls room LOOKs could stack to keep the janitor a little less grumpy. Having these mechanics centralized and standardized opens the door for updates we couldn't have easily done before, and I hope long term that makes the temporary pain some may have adjusting their ammo numbers worthwhile.

This update is live in Prime, Plat and TF. If you notice anything odd, please let us know! Big thanks to Paklin for his QC of the updates!
