Leather ranges from about 2.5 to 6.0 density

Cloth ranges from about 2.0 to 4.0 density

Garg leather is 3.8, so no, it is not very light.... hope that makes sense.

Cloth and Leather have similar stats, don't get me wrong. But Leather is across the board better. However, you may see cloth win out in a category if you pick the cloth type that is good at impact, and the leather type that is poor at impact. Burlap is also the heaviest cloth, and leather might not have a good comparison yet. Maybe I'll lighten up Burlap a bit to compensate.

Cloth only has about 15% hindrance than leather on average, so weight was the real "win". Do you need that extra 10% protection, or do you need that 20% weight reduction...
