To the south, torches light New Gate, the city's stout bulwark against the wilds across the water. Towers rise on each side of the main gate, with its heavy and well-oiled iron portcullis.
You also see a tiny pivuh with brilliant blue-green scales, an elegantly engraved marquee, a brightly painted caravan towing a series of smaller wagons and a large water-filled tank, a prominent warning sign, the stairway to the tower battlements, a pair of doors to the theater and the Sentinel Lyle.

He has a thick bushy mustache that droops heavily on his upper lip and a thick beard twisted into three long braids.
He is in good shape.
He is wearing a bright green top hat with long pivuh feathers tucked into the band, an emerald-inlaid box, a patchwork bag crafted from garishly mismatching fabrics, a billowing cobalt shirt, a pitted iron band, some baggy blue-black cotton pants belted with a wide red sash and some leather boots dyed a brilliant emerald hue.

The tiny pivuh cocks his head and watches Talhearn's hand. Suddenly, he lunges forward at Talhearn and gives his finger a small nip.

The tiny pivuh bounds toward Plokks and jumps into his arms, rolling over to nuzzle the Dwarf's bearded cheek. Plokks murmurs to the small, brightly-colored pivuh, scratches beneath his scaly chin, and places him back into one of the wagons.
Plokks grins broadly, exposing several missing teeth.

Standing on four stout legs, this lizard-like creature is about the size of a farmer's prize pig. An ivory cravat has been looped around his neck and has been secured with a gold pin that reads "LORD FILLINGSWORTH" in tiny lettering. The gravitas of the pivuh is enhanced by the jaunty black silk tophat he wears, and the monocle over one of his beady black eyes. Grey-tinged blue-green scales glisten slightly as they shift, while dull blue feathered wings sprout from his back.
Plokks flings open the shutters to one of the wagons, and dramatically jumps to one side, his arms outstretched! A large pivuh swoops out of the opening, followed by a chubby pivuh in a pink tutu with rainbow painted wings. The pair descend in an artful tumble before breaking apart to land on each side of Plokks.
Plokks beams with pride before stepping back to let the two pivuh have the spotlight.

The large pivuh seems to brace himself into a sturdy squat. As if by sheer force of will, the pivuh pushes up off his back legs, tipping himself forward until resting solely on his forelegs. He takes a few staggering steps around, his stubby front legs quivering slightly and his head held awkwardly to the side.
Plokks exclaims, "And Lord Fillingsworth! We're truly blessed tonight!"

Plokks pulls out some small chairs and sets them out before the pivuh.
A large pivuh clamps his mouth down on the leg of one chair and drags it a few paces away. The chubby female pivuh then drags another chair over and lets the large one take it.
Precariously, the large pivuh stacks the chair atop the first one and climbs slowly to the top of it. His stubby legs wobble alarmingly, but after a few nerve-wracking moments of flapping his wings, he gains his balance. The pivuh tilts back his head, letting loose a puff of smoke that resembles the very chairs upon which he currently stands, then leaps off of the side, landing solidly on one scaly paw!
The female pivuh picks out a third and final chair then, half climbing up, she drags it up to the large pivuh who bends forward and grabs ahold of it in his mouth! Very slowly and carefully, the larger pivuh stacks this chair atop the first two before climbing to their summit once more!

Plokks exclaims, "Now folks, Lord Fillingsworth here, he's been with me right from the start. He don't... uh, he's a crowd man, like me!"
After settling in, the large pivuh looks down at the chubby rainbow-winged one below, and watches as she claws her way up to him. Once she arrives at the top, she gives a few sturdy flaps from her wings and balances herself on the larger pivuh's shoulders before flaring her wings out proudly.

The larger pivuh suddenly curls up as the other one leaps into the air! As she lands once more, she does so upon the feet of the larger male. He begins to kick and kick, sending the chubby pivuh into a series of tumbles in time with his movements.
Starlear says, "This is pretty much the best thing ever."
With one final kick, the large pivuh stands himself upright once more as the female twirls and spins in her descent to the ground below! The larger pivuh then leaps off of the chairs, landing beside his partner as Plokks cheers them on.

Plokks exclaims, "Dreglan and Peony, everyone! Lets hear it for the acrobatical pair!"
Plokks gestures to the two pivuh, who have busied themselves dragging the chairs out of the way before returning to stand next to their trainer.

Plokks turns toward the smaller, chubby pivuh, giving her a series of whistles and clicks that seems to signal her return to the wagons. The large pivuh stands at attention, not straying from Plokks' side.

Plokks exclaims, "Now we near the end of our show. Only two acts left, ladies and gents! But do not despair, for wonder and awe abounds yet still! Next up, a break from the excitement for a little mirth!"
Plokks exclaims, "Dreglan here is a bit of a ladies' man! From Peony, now to Glenda, he prefers his performing partners to be of the fairer sort. I'm sure you gents out there understand, even if your tastes run a might bit less scaly and four legged!"
Plokks chuckles merrily, his eyes glinting with warmth. A tiny pivuh with gracefully curving wings glides out from one of the wagons, coming to rest right next to the large pivuh.
The large pivuh trundles around the crowd, flapping his wings and causing the dirt to stir. A little trail of dust is left in his wake as he bumbles about.

Taking it as some sort of challenge, the little female pivuh begins flapping her wings furiously as she charges after the larger one. The male takes notice and, spinning around, suddenly starts stirring up a small dust storm in his efforts to lift himself into the air!
Osus asks Starlear, "Isnt scaly and four-legged your thing?"
Flailing her gracefully curved wings, the little pivuh stirs up her own dust storm that quickly overtakes the other as she launches herself into the air briefly!
As if the exertion was suddenly too much, the tiny pivuh suddenly stops flapping her wings and comes crashing down right on top of the larger pivuh! The large male scrambles away quickly, glancing balefully back at her.
A loud honking noise suddenly reaches your ears and you notice the large pivuh chomping on a small bladder attached to a brass horn. With each successive bite, the horn emits an increasingly obnoxious noise, causing the tiny pivuh to startle! She shakes her head and wings comically, as if trying to blot out the sound.

Linett covers her ears with her hands.
A little pivuh with gracefully curved wings glances over at the large pivuh and makes an odd huffing noise, almost as if scoffing. She suddenly launches herself up, fanning her wings out for balance, and begins a pirouette -- until her tail comes around and whaps the larger pivuh right in the snout!
Talliska says, "How adorable."
You say, "Scaley ducks."
Gaidin laughs!
Osus chuckles.
Traim laughs!
The large pivuh blinks with a dazed expression on its reptilian face and shakes its head as if trying to clear it. As he regains his senses, he turns and chases the tiny pivuh, honking his horn over and over, sending them both wending through the crowd, then back around in loops circling Plokks, who looks on with merry laughter!
Belphoebe grins.
Miskton chuckles.
Linett snickers.
Nealie giggles.
Talliska flashes a wide grin.
Aislynn chortles softly at some secret joke.
Marssi giggles.
The pair continue their chase for several minutes, bumping into props, the caravan and each other many times before finally zooming directly back into their wagon, its shutters slamming shut from the force of their movement. A loud series of honks, only slightly muffled by the wagon's walls, is heard, followed by a heavy THUD.
The wagon's shutters pop back open for just a moment, and the tiny pivuh pokes her head back out, bent horn sticking out of her mouth! She gives the bladder one emphatic bite, rending it in two with a loud, deflated HOOOONK, then disappears back into the wagon's interior.
A chubby pivuh creeps out of her wagon to sit on the top step and watch.
Plokks exclaims, "Oh Lord Fillingsworth, I remember when you used to do this act!"
A stately pivuh with grey-tinged blue-green scales glances at the wagon for a moment before turning back to Plokks and looking at him.
Plokks laughs loudly, his rough hands slapping at his thick thighs as he throws his head back!
Plokks regains his composure, chuckling to himself as he begins to speak, "Now, for our final act!"
Plokks exclaims, "No doubt you've noticed the large glass vessel upon the wheeled platform at the end of my caravan by now -- fine, smart, observant people that you are! Last, but not least, we bring to you Fish, the watery wonder!"
Plokks bows deeply and gestures to a tiny portal set into the platform beneath the massive tank.

Plokks chuckles affectionately and says "Now, don't be fooled by his entrance, oh no! Fish here is quite the dextrous one!" Turning to the pivuh, he finishes in a booming voice, "Go now, Fish! On with the show!"
The sleek pivuh stumbles back over to a wheeled platform containing large tank of water with glass-sides, and clumsily climbs up its tiny ladder, flapping his stunted wings as if for balance. Arriving at the top, the sleek pivuh dives face first into the water!

Crudely rendered animals in a variety of fantastical hues decorate the sides of the caravan proper, while each of the heavily-shuttered wagons have been coated in a different, yet equally bright, shade of the rainbow. Attached to the end of the wagons is a heavy, wheeled platform, upon which is secured a glass-sided tank filled with water. A large hand painted banner, tautly suspended between twin poles atop the caravan's roof, reads "Plokks' Performing Pivuh Panorama" in vibrant green lettering.
The sleek pivuh swims around in the water happily for a moment and you cannot help but notice just how graceful the creature has become.

Oddly slim for its species, the pivuh seems to lack all coordination and grace as it waddles around, feebling flapping its tiny wings. A collar bearing the name "Fish" hangs from its neck.
The pivuh known as Fish swims around in large, swooping circles deep below the surface. Increasing his speed, he suddenly leaps out of the water, does one flip and comes splashing down into the tank again! Water surges up and over the sides of the tank, splashing some of the crowd!
From within the glass tank, the sleek pivuh performs a series of twists and spirals at a high speed.
After several minutes of such complex watery stunts, the pivuh slows, seeming to grow tired. He stops his tricks and swims to the surface, giving Plokks an expectant look.

Plokks cheers and coos at the sleek pivuh, patting him on the head and feeding him a bit of some sort of meat. The pivuh makes a distinctly contended-sounding noise, and reclines into the water, floating lazily on his back before slipping out of the tank, and into the portal below it once more.
Plokks grins broadly, exposing several missing teeth.
Plokks exclaims, "Thank you! Thank all of you fine and fabulous folks! My little ones and I hope you found yourself most pleased with our show, and we look forward to seeing your faces at our next wonderiferous performance!"
Belphoebe applauds.
Nealie gets an impish expression on her face, and lets out a hearty cheer.
Liurilias applauds.
Gaidin applauds.
Sendithu applauds.
Dreamheart applauds.
Nealie applauds.
Miskton applauds.

A small pivuh wearing a pink tutu leaps suddenly at Osus! She does a weird flip in the air just missing them before landing with surprising grace behind them and acting like nothing happened.
Plokks exclaims, "They're ALL smart ones!"
The pivuh in the pink tutu sniffs at the feet of Nealie, she looks vaguely disgusted by the smell.
Plokks exclaims, "Wonderiferous creatures, the pivuh!"
Sebrahn asks Plokks, "Have they ever tried to eat you?"
Plokks exclaims, "Of course not!"
Plokks says, "They are like my very own children."
Plokks says, "Aww, Peony, he'll come around."

Starlear says, "What do you feed them? They seem to really enjoy it."
Plokks says to Starlear, "Little of this, little of that. Mostly boars."
