From what I can understand, your stance resides in:

1) All of these changes are very drastic
2) Many people chose their race (and thus stat modifiers) because a certain stat arrangement is optimal

Thus: A race change must be granted.

Please forgive me if this is a straw man - As far as I can tell, this is the argument you're making and I'd be happy for clarification.

However, 1) has been pointed out (by the people who made the changes) as incorrect, and 2) has been pointed out as irrelevant (because the 'optimal stat arrangement' has changed several times over the last several years). If you chose 'optimally' in 2007, either you're no longer optimal, or your definition of optimal has changed or shifted to encompass the new spells, abilities, and contest formulas. In neither case is there a strong argument toward rechoosing your race.

>>I know you guys don't like giving dates really but do we have any kind of ETA for the start of 3.0 stuff to start moving in? Besides all the little tedious things I've been posting about I am pretty curious to test it out some.

Weeks, not months

>>So it's still years out? That's all I need to hear, Thanks. End of discussion.

Snark gets you nowhere, especially when it's framed against a staff that has been consistently fantastic at releasing new content. It's a little disrespectful to the team that, by every account, is one of the best we've ever had.
