* You feel a warm breath on the back of your neck, causing the tiny hairs to prickle and a shiver to run down your spine.

Assassin {{PRel|Zayerg}} slips out of hiding with his crossbow aiming towards your face and fires! As you slump to the ground, he reaches for the bolt sticking out of your forehead. Turning it roughly, Zayerg removes the bolt from your mangled skull and reloads his crossbow.


You see Assassin Zayerg, an {{PRel|Elpalzi}}.
He has piercing dark brown eyes and long, sleek black hair fastened tightly behind his head with a leather tie.
His thick, coarse fur is dark grey in coloring, dappled with a few small white patches. A few strands of grey hairs on his chin nearly betray his age.

He appears to be dead! Other than that...

He has a severely swollen and deeply bruised neck compounded by deep slashes across the neck, a severely swollen and deeply bruised left arm compounded by deep slashes across the left arm, minor swelling and bruising around the right leg compounded by cuts and bruises about the right leg, a severely swollen and deeply bruised left leg compounded by deep cuts across the left leg, a severely swollen and deeply bruised right hand compounded by deep slashes across the right hand, a severely swollen and shattered left hand which appears completely useless compounded by an ugly stump for a left hand, a severely swollen chest area with a shattered rib cage compounded by a completely destroyed chest area with nearly all flesh and bone torn away revealing a gaping hole, severely swollen and bruised abdomen compounded by deep slashes across the abdomen, a severely swollen and deeply bruised back with odd protrusions under the skin compounded by gaping holes in the back, a severely swollen, bruised and cloudy left eye compounded by a bruised, swollen and slashed left eye.

He is bleeding lightly from the left eye, with widespread discoloration in the back, very badly from the back, with widespread discoloration in the abdomen, moderately from the abdomen, with widespread discoloration in the left hand, very badly from the left hand, with slight bruising in the right hand, lightly from the right hand, with slight bruising in the left eye, with discoloration in the neck, lightly from the neck, with discoloration in the left arm, lightly from the left arm, with slight bruising in the left leg and slightly from the left leg.

He is wearing a marred bloodwood crossbow, a crocodile-skin buckler, a tattered black leather cloak, some black leathers emblazoned in silver with a rearing dragon, some supple leather pants riveted with dark steel, a darkened thigh sheath held by matte silver buckles and a pair of soft-soled dark leather boots.




A flash of greenish-grey light blinds your eyes as an oddly shaped moongate appears! In between dazed blinks, you see two Elpalzi warriors step out from within the swirling mass of energy and drag back through it, the portal quickly snapping shut behind them.

Rough fighting circles are scratched into the crumbling stone floor while splintering fighting dummies stand ready to be attacked. Several hay-stuffed figures hang about the room, their seams torn open and innards strewn about the area. Several large tables occupy the center of the massive room, each displaying several maps noted with key locations.
You also see a darkened stairwell, a heavy oak door that leads to the Officer's Quarters, an Elpalzi specialist, a company of Elpalzi warriors and an Elpalzi lieutenant.

[Sorrow's Keep, Prisoner Detainment]
Rusted spikes line the upper ceiling while deep striations in the surrounding walls indicate the ceiling may have moved at one time. Wooden stools surround a splintered wood table at the center of the room, a rusted lantern on its surface providing minimal light to the area. A series of torturous devices line the perimeter, none of which imply the slightest hint of a quick and painless death.
You also see an Elpalzi guard, an Elpalzi guard, a studded mahogany door and an iron maiden.

Alret begins to carefully examine a black leather bullwhip.
You get an odd feeling that someone is watching you. It quickly passes.
Alret says, "Even a purpose for keeping this piece of meat alive."
Alret kicks Iazen!
Iazen groans.
Alret asks, "What say you scribe are we people?"
Alret kicks Iazen!

Alret asks, "No answer?"
Alret kicks Iazen!
Iazen struggles to sit up.
Iazen groans.
Alret just went through a studded mahogany door, dragging Iazen with him.

Iazen thrashes around on the ground.
Alret kicks Iazen!
Iazen screams!
Iazen thrashes around on the ground.
Alret says, "Let's tuck you in."
Iazen groans.
Alret grabs Iazen and drags him south with him.

Dank drafts filter through the large chamber, the cold stone providing little in the way of merciful treatment. Manacles dangle from the walls at various stations, the heavy irons mottled with rust-colored splotches. Menacing metal frameworks line the far wall, their intended use made obvious by the limb restraints fashioned into the mechanisms.
You also see an Elpalzi guard, an Elpalzi guard, a cell door and a crumbling wall.

Obvious exits: north, south.

[Sorrow's Keep, Hallway]
A faded and threadbare runner blankets the length of the long hallway, its neglected appearance matching that of the once vibrant tapestries and cobweb-draped portraits that hang along the dull, paneled walls. Motes of dust hang in the light from an ornate archway that leads to the receiving hall.
You also see an ornate ironwood door and an Elpalzi guard.

*I dunno the whole thing seemed off to me, it felt like a distraction.

Normally Alret acts like a baby when he gets called names and stuff. I think he took losing one of his assassin too well, even if they're born to die for stupid reasons.

Supposedly he has something big planned, that could've been like I'll get you, or he actually had soemthing planned. 

Part of me wonders if he finally broke Iazen and learned something.
