Do not forget that with more density comes higher weight and reduced balance... Just because something has a density of 9 doesn't necessarily make it "better".

Compared to steel for armor, Darkstone provides substantially more electrical resistance at the cost of a small bit of physical protection.

It just depends on what you want. The extra step required to mix steel can take time, and Darkstone can give you a shortcut if you know what you are doing.

Anyhow, Darkstone will likely become rarer and have some additional tie-ins to alchemy and enchanting when I get around to messing with it.
