Pliers are a crafting tool used in Armorsmithing.

See Crafting Tools for details.

Usage

  • In armorsmithing, it is used to pull together the parts of metal armors.

Creation and Repair

Pliers can be created using forging techniques that fall under the Blacksmithing discipline.

Likewise, their repair falls under the same skills, with standard processes for metal tool repair.

Templates

Pliers use physical resistance to derive their effectiveness.

  Durability Cap Speed Cap
Type Difficulty Weight Durability Speed Cap Durability Speed
Store Bought - 25 8 - marginally vulnerable 4 - very ineffective
plain <metal> pliers 5 - basic 5 x density 10 - a bit safeguarded 5 - not very effective
curved <metal> pliers 6 - somewhat challenging 5 x density 7 - appreciably susceptible 7 - rather effective 1 - extremely weak 8 - very effective
rough <metal> pliers 8 - complicated 5 x density 11 - rather reinforced 3 - very ineffective
thick <metal> pliers 9 - intricate 5 x density
hooked <metal> pliers 10 - difficult 5 x density 6 -somewhat unsound 8 - very effective 4 - rather flimsy 9 - exceptionally effective

Cap indicates the best possible score that can be reached using normal metals. It should be noted that it is not possible to reach both caps in the same item.
