Kanton was the leader of a Human clan. He and Sorril, the Elven daughter of Kiernion, eloped without Kiernion's approval, sparking a five-year war between the Humans and the Elves. Towards the end of the war, Kanton was treacherously murdered by Rivyn, Morganae's son, the man Sorril was supposed to marry. Kanton had a right hip short sword named Glisinais that Sorril used to slay Rivyn. The twins Lanival and Sable are the children of Kanton and Sorril.
