You recognize the jade comb from a depiction in some pawn shop or another. The notation there indicated that the comb had a tendency to bond to the first person to WEAR it, and it could sometimes change its owner's hair in random ways. There was something about LOOKing or SHOWing it to others to sense any bond present. The merchant also mentioned something about some folks' hair changing colors.
