Verbs

BREAK: You crush your glass orb in your hand like a frail egg shell, driving the shards deeply into the flesh your hand. Nothing unusual happens at first as driblets of blood seep between your fingers to softly patter below.

The jagged shards warm suddenly as they soak in your blood moments before an indescribable quantity of pain crashes through you, sending you reeling. The blood is torn from your veins, flowing into a quickly growing creature before you. Life flags from your body as coherent thought is driven from you as the creature continues to feed.
Finally the feeding stops, leaving you greatly weakened, but alive.
