There are two groups called the Hounds of Rutilor. The first was a defense group in Zoluren existing roughly from 229-193 BL. The other is an order-like group from ca. 355 AV. This article is about the former.

The Hounds are an order of Paladins, Clerics, and torch-wielding commoners that came together with the goal of exterminating necromancy and other heresies through any means necessary.

They were reformed in the year 396 and currently act in conjunction and cooperation with the Inquisition, though the two groups are not the same.

Proposed spell for Paladins

At one point, Gamemaster Raphael had stated that the spell Hounds of Rutilor was something he was hoping to create. The spell would, when cast, summon hounds to drag wanted criminals in the room to jail. If none were caught, though, the Paladin would have received a soul hit. Since Raphael's departure, however, it is unclear what will become of this spell.
