The City of the Dead was established by the Rasman Sect as their new capital, replacing the older city of New Albabriddlaen. During the Luethra Civil War, the city was sealed when the Endian Royalists won the war. In 1368 BL (early in the Gorbesh Imperial Age), Gorbesh settlers rediscovered the city and renamed it Ixaem. Contact is lost a year later, and further explorers discover that the city is empty.
